No notification sounds from apps

Hi a couple days ago my sound notifications my apps stopped working. I can't hear any notifications. I've restarted the phone, reset the settings and cleared the cache in all the apps. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Have you actually checked the volume settings for the notifications?

Yes.. I did that first, sorry I didn't mention that.

Had to ask.  You wouldn't believe the amount of people who don't check the obvious first.  I assume all your other sounds and music are coming through just fine and it's only the notification sounds are not coming through.  Are you using custom sounds (sounds you downloaded) for  your notifications?  Did this start after an update?

Everything else works fine and I do use custom sounds for some notifications. It did start after the latest update but not until a couple of weeks later.

None of the notifications are giving you sounds or just the ones with custom sounds?  Is it possible the custom sounds you downloaded somehow got deleted from the notifications folder?  If it started a couple of weeks after the update, it is likely not related to the update.  If things go sideways with an update, it's usually immediate. Or you can make sure you have a current backup (including your custom sounds) and then reset your phone and restore your backup.

Update: I found out the problem. My Galaxy Watch 6 was set to mute the notifications on my phone..After I changed it everything was working again..Thanks for your help
