Hey everyone, this morning i did the oneui 7 installation, and i noticed that the bottom corner swipe gesture to summon Gemini is no longer here. Is it really gone or am i just being dumb and can't find it in settings?

Please don't suggest lengthy fixes that don't work. Everyone should indeed check out the good lock app anyway, but this is simply not something that navstar can fix.

@theEternalNewb Please show where I stated it s a fix for the OP's stated previous gesture funciton before the update? I would also suggest reading people's comments comprehensively instead of policing forums on what is supposed to be suggested or said.

I don't have this software yet, but my Gemini doesn't work unless I say hey Google which doesn't make sense + the side button works fine but I don't recall trying the swipe feature

I was on the One UI 7 Beta and never even missed using it all. I had turned on the "Hey Google" command and it works so much easier.

It also consumes significantly more battery and comes with the downside that Google can listen to everything you say 24 hours a dayโ€”not the brightest idea. The swipe shortcut was also much better for preventing excessive wear on the side button in the long run.

It takes the command "Hey Google" to wake the assistant in order for Google to listen to you. It is like saying Samsung is listening to you 24 hours a day if you use Bixby voice command to wake Bixby.

If you don't want to use side or power button or "Hey Google" the only option is to put the Gemini app on your home screen, tap on it to open it and tap on the microphone in the search blank. You will get the assistant that way.

Also, Gemini is going to be replacing the assistant as Google is ending Google Assistant later this year. You may also want to send Google your dislike that they removed the swipe option from there assistant as Samsung has no control over it.

I changed the side key back into my power button as soon as I turned it on so the corner swipe for the assistant has been a great way to use it when I actually wanted it. Losing that feature feels like a downgrade.

I liked the swipe gesture from the bottom corner of the phone to activate Gemini better than the power key to activate.

I just say, "Hey Google" for him to pop up. Plus I use swipe gestures for navigation instead or buttons, so that would drive me nuts. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Are you aware of how to change the settings so that you don't have to press anything?

Im not used to the voice gestures. I just swipe. I like it better.
