Hey there guys,
I recently updated my S24 Ultra to the new One UI 8 and I gotta say this is the worst update Samsung has made in a while. This updated not only completely ruined my Modes & Routines it also removed extremely important settings that I used daily for no reason. The one that really annoys me currently is Do Not Disturb In Modes & Routines. I need Modes & Routines to be able to automatically turn on Do Not Disturb when I reach school and to Automatically turn off Do Not Disturb if I'm leaving school or wearing my headphones. For some odd reason after the One UI 8 Update this completely broke. Whenever I had a routine that was either manually activated or automatically activated when a Bluetooth device was connected or It was a certain time period it would turn off do not disturb but for whatever reason it is now permanently stuck ON. I literally have to manually disable Do Not Disturb which is extremely annoying. The other routine that would turn it off says "Couldn't perform this action because another operation is preventing it." Without actually telling me what is preventing it.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or something that was done on purpose? Thanks

@MANIACCSTICK Did you wipe the device cache partition after the update? I recommend that you do this after every device update. It wipes out incompatible or outdated cache information which might be incompatible after the update. It does not erase any user data nor applications.

To wipe the device cache partition:

1. Power off your device.
2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
5. Click the side key to select it.
6. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
7. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
8. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

I've wiped my phones cache and wiped modes and routines and checked for updates. Nothing fixes the issue

I'm having the same issue with my Galaxy S25 plus. I have a routine set to turn ON Do Not Disturb at 10:00 PM, and another routine set to turn OFF Do Not Disturb at 7:00 AM. These routines worked perfectly before the One UI 8 update, but now  they will work sometimes but mostly they just do not work at all. I've deleted the routines and cleared everything, then reset the routines, but it only worked correctly one day and it's not working again. Seems like it is an issue with the One UI 8 update.

@Members_kfuzgW4 Why would you make 2 routines, one to turn on DND and one to turn it off?

If you need DND on at a specific time and off at a specific time, just set up a DND schedule.

I have a schedule set to enable DND at 10 pm and turn if off at 8 am. Works flawlessly.

Similar issue here. Updated GalaxyS24 to one UI8 yesterday and now there is no way to set a meeting duration for a meeting mode that is started from a routine. I have half a dozen alarms that trigger meeting mode when dismissed. They used to revert to normal after 40 minutes, but now the meeting mode runs until 'the routine ends' but there is no available action to make a routine end, or to turn off a mode. Plenty of options to turn them on, but none to turn them off and nothing to say what to do if they do end.

Also - the mode duration does set if invoked manually and the routine has been deleted. But if you ever start the mode from a routine again, the duration permanently reverts to 'when the routine ends' rather than the option set in the mode itself. For manual or routine-based activations. And the routine is assumed to have not ended, ever, unless you physically delete the routine. Even if the routine has been disabled or is not running, the mode says it will run until that routine ends.

Very very poor update. I'm used to a few bugs and resets and rebuilds when one of these updates happens, but this one has been terrible.

Having the same issue after my A54 updated to OneUI 8.0 two days ago.

My DND is set to turn off in the morning on a schedule, and revert to previous settings (for example, vibration mode). It doesn't do that anymore, which means I get random loud notifications during the day instead of my phone returning to vibration-only mode.

Incredibly annoying and something I rely on for my daily driver.
