Messenger stopped opening attachments

Messenger suddenly stopped opening attachments that were sent to me and occasionally when I send an attachment the other person can't open it. I've looked through all of the settings and searched on it and I can't figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions.

App info > storage > clear cache

If this doesn't resolve the issue

App info > storage > clear data

If this doesn't resolve the issue uninstall and reinstall

If none of that resolves the issue, submit an error report to the developer.
