Messages no longer making notification

After the recent update. All of my messages are no longer making a sound to notify me. I have powered off and restarted but it is still the same. I have not changed my notification settings, it just stopped making incoming message sound.

Same all my messages come delayed. Idk if its this tablet or update!!

Have  you cleared the cache from your messaging app?

I was able to go into the system sounds and I reselected the song and sounds for incoming calls and messaging and everything started working again.

That was a quick fix, the same issue happened again. I noticed this time, if I was not wearing my Samsung smartwatch, I do get notified but if I have my watch on my Samsung Galaxy watch ultra, notifications stop sounding but the ringtones still work. If I have my Samsung buds 3 pro, in my ear, I do hear ringtones and tones for messages.

In the Wear app, you may have notifications set to be muted on phone when the notification goes to your watch.  If you turn off this setting, the notification will appear on your watch and also appear and sound on  your phone.  Go to the watch settings in the Wear app and make sure you have notifications set to  show notifications on watch even when phone is in use and then turn off mute notifications on phone.

Thanks, it seems the feature was turned on, although I don't remember turning it on. This seems to have done the trick.
