You could also get a second phone, or maybe two tin cans and a string, or... Also when media and an active call are played through the phone together, the audio from the media is not audible to the caller.
But once again, not the point - it's a bug that needs to be fixed, not ignored or worked around.

Galaxy S24I don't believe it's a bug. I believe the phone takes precedence over all other sounds, especially if you are on speaker, as media and speaker phone use the same speaker. A speaker cannot play sounds from two sources simultaneously. It could possibly mute/pause one sound while another comes through, (like when you get the call waiting tone). Again, I may be captain obvious to you, but maybe don't try to be on the phone and use other media. If you are listening to the music player and the phone rings, the music stops when you answer the phone. It does not continue to play while you are talking.

Galaxy S24This is not about music playing during a call, and honestly I'm a little tired of explaining the issue as I'm sure you are aware of it, and simply sighting irrelevant examples of 'media' issues to try to prove some kind of point that doesn't exist simply because its something YOU don't do. If you have something constructive to contribute, please do that - otherwise I'd say it's time to quietly remove yourself from the discussion.
I can play other media apps while on a video call (ie you tube, plex, etc.) via PnP - it seems to be limited to Netflix, so - again - a bug that needs to be fixed.

Galaxy S24If you think its a bug, then put in an error report. The developers are the only ones that can fix that for you, and posting here isn't going to get you the result you seek. Did you even read my comment about downloading Good Lock's sound assistant?

And to be clear, the reason I replied here was to seek confirmation and see if anyone in the community had found a work around or generally had more information. That is the whole point of a community group. It wasn't to be bring out the trolls to reply and try to convince me what has been working for nearly a decade, and is no longer working after the update is "by design" and not a bug. 🙄

Galaxy S24Why is it when people get suggestions that are not what they want to hear, it's always "trolling". If Samsung has not seen fit to fix this "glitch", it's not a glitch. Per my below comment, if Netflix is *specifically* locked out, that would be a Netflix issue, not Samsung. Netflix may have some programming code preventing it from playing with/over other apps. Some apps like to have exclusive command of the screen and sound output. I was genuinely trying to help you/understand what you were trying to accomplish, but now I don't care if your issue is solved or not. But, then, I also think it's ridiculous to remain on a call overnight while the other party is sleeping - long distance relationship or not.

Why is it people try to provide "suggestions" before they fail to even try to understand the problem, whats-more they do so in a condescending tone accompanied by a healthy helping of judgement? That seems pretty close to the definition of "trolling" to me.
What you find ridiculous is irrelevant given how you go about "helping" folks with your condescending comments and personal judgements. It seems you choose to show your own brand of ridiculousness in online forums. I'll try not to be too upset about your lack of "caring" as it seems it's about on par with your lack of judgement, and I truly doubt your motives having anything to do with helping anything but your own ego.
LOL anyway - it's not a glitch/bug because Samsung always fixes bug immediately? You're very much on the wrong side of history on that statement. The app hasn't wanted exclusive control of the screen/audio ever - the only thing that changed of course with the UI update. Likely updates need to be done to the app, but once again has been reported.

Galaxy S24Are you sure you can watch YouTube? I can't watch ANY VIDEOS ON ANY SITE OR PLATFORM when I'm on video call with my wife... Samsung need to SORT IT OUT! or pay us back for our useless devices.. it's an absolute outrage!!! They have removed functions from our phones. I will not be buying any Samsung in future and I will be selling my s24 ultra and buying some **bleep** cheap phone so I have the functionality back that I need.. this is an absolute disgrace!!

Galaxy S24Makes no difference - Netflix screen is 'locked' when PnP call is active. There's no audio to direct to any eligible device.
