Is there a way to save a text thread

I want to delete a contact and all history of their existence on my phone but is there a way to save a text conversation thread? Preferable somewhere other then on my phone.

Yes, you can.

The easiest way is to download from the Playstore and app called SMS Backup and Restore.

It's a great app, especially for those that use Google Messages since there is no trash can.

Yeah I never delete texts. But I knew they were no built in way to copy texts with the built in apps. They are so many third party apps out there i dont know what they all do so I only stated screenshots since that's the only way to do it unless someone made a app which I didn't know of.
