Hello everyone,

UPDATE:
After I put my phone on factory settings and reinstalled everything back again, this unfortunatly didn't fix my problem but this is how i fixed my problem go to Settings > in the search bar type "Reset" > reset all settings. And now I can make screenshots everywhere again  😃 I want to thank everybody who tried to help me solve this problem🌺

Since the last few weeks I can't make any screenshots anymore on whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat or even my internetbrowser and many other apps. I tried to uninstall all the apps and reinstall them. Then I searched on google how to solve this problem and I tried everything there. This didn't work cause I get the same pop up every time that says: this app won't allow screenshots. 

My boyfriend has the same phone as me and he can screenshot on every app, how is this possible? This is really pissing me off cause we have THE SAME PHONE. Now i'm even making a backup to put my phone to factory settings.

I even read that many more people have this problem on reddit but I didn't saw a post like this on this website. So if it's a software problem then they better make a new software update so this issue can be solved!

I had this happen to me on a different phone and it was because my storage was full. Could that be possible for you?

Hi, thank you for the reply, No my storage is far from being full. I have 512Gb storage and my phone has 120gb now. But thank you for trying to help 🙂

Are all those apps updated?  Do you and your boyfriend have the same versions of the app?

Yes all my apps are updated, so are the apps for my boyfriend. I always keep everything updated.

By which method were you trying to take the screen shot?  There are several methods and where one doesn't work, another might.  I had that happen once or twice.  Tried to do it with a palm swipe and got that message, but using the volume down and side button worked.

I tried to do it with swiping with my hand over the screen, also the power button + volume down, and the methode from dragging down the bar where you can turn on wifi, bluetooth and stuff (I don't know how it's called)

Have you cleared the cache and cleared the data in the Samsung Capture app? If not, go into your settings and search for the word "capture". When the results populate click on "save screenshots in". Scroll all the way down and tap on "about Samsung capture". Tap on the lowercase "i" with the circle around it in the upper right corner. Scroll down and tap on "storage". Tap on both "clear cache" and "clear data". If it asks you if you are sure because it's going to wipe out all of your data in the Samsung capture app, click on yes. Hopefully this works for you.
