How often does Samsung release updates after an UI change?

As with many others I am unhappy with this update. I've tried submitting feedback and asking but have not received any answers. I am brand new to this community and am hoping some of yall have been around enough to be able to answer.

In the past, has Samsung released content or customization updates after a major UI change and if so about how long after? I want to stay as positive as i can about this update, and I know they do routine (monthly?) Security updates, is there a chance those could include any changes besides just Security?

It's possible that monthly security updates could include other changes. Samsung usually does a 0.1 update (ex: 6.1) a number of months after the version change. There's talk of them skipping that this year and going straight to 8.0. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the reply. That is sadly much longer than I was hoping. There's already another UI coming out? I didn't even know this one was until it auto updated. I only found this community by someone posting it on reddit as I tried to figure out how to revert some of the changes. Any specific question i have has already been asked numerous times here. My biggest issues do not have a current fix from what I am seeing.

One UI 8 will be based on Android 16, which is currently in beta (7 is based on Android 15, which was actually released last year). There's talk of One UI 8 coming out this summer, although everything is still rumor at this point. My personal opinion is that it will effectively be One UI 7.1 with 8 branding. But again, we'll just have to wait and see.

I've seen reports that the May security update might include fixes for the excessive battery drain a number of users have reported. Nothing has been confirmed by Samsung, but I'm hopeful.

Yeah, there were leaks just today about a beta for One UI starting this summer, maybe around June. The idea is to release a stable version before the end of the year. Maybe Sept/Oct. They were also thinking that an update to One UI 8 would be 8.5 in time for the S26 series release by next January.

All still speculation at this point.

As with any ui update there may be tweaks or fixes in future updates

usually once a year for major change, but this time around a bit different since samsung late to release one ui 7.0

so this year samsung should introduce one ui 8.0, it can be when launching Fold7/Flip7 this July
