How do I remove photos from specific album without deleting it

I make different albums for different months. I add a lot of photos but now I want to remove a few from the album without deleting them from my phone. How do I do that? I can’t find any option that says ‘remove from this album

Create a miscellaneous folder and use the move feature to move the photos you want to keep into the new folder.

@d1enzil A reminder, the Recent folder is a virtual folder. It does not actually contain photos. The photos actually exist in another folder. If you delete something from the Recent folder, it is gone from your phone. 

[Edit] Also selecting something in the Recent folder and moving it to another folder, DOES NOT remove it from the Recent folder. This does NOT duplicate storage space.
