The only thing may be under translate. Is it set to voice 1 female or voice 2 male.

That one is set to voice 1. The female. Thanks for the help though.

Looking deeper I think it is Google assistant voice. You can pick from several. It uses assistant to announce caller id. If this corrects please mark as accepted solution.

Having the same issue as you are ~ prior caller announce voice was female and now is male.  It happened during the big "AI update" and nothing seems to help, not even the google assistant suggestion.  All voices are set to 'female'...  S23+ user

I also have this issue on S22 Ultra since the "AI" update.

* UPDATE *
I found the problem setting...

Accessibility
  Text-to-speech
  TalkBack > TalkBack settings

Audio
  Text-to-speech

Finally...

  • Preferred engine - click settings gear
  • English (United States) - click settings gear
  • Change Voice 2 to Voice 1

There are other routes to get to the Samsung text-to-speech engine settings but the above is how I first got to it.

thanks. That solution worked.

By the way I change the option from Samsung Text to speech engine to , Speech recognition and synthesis from Google. Now the pronunciation of the certain name is correct.
