Gemini is in everything and can no longer power off phone

I have a Galaxy S24. The above update changed everything on my phone. Can't even turn it off using the power button only anymore and Gemini is in everything. Anyone know what's going on?

It's not obvious.  It's the almost circle with the vertical line at the top keeping the circle from becoming a complete circle (not sure how else to describe it) it's between the pencil and settings icon.  upper right hand corner under the % power icon.  You can also Google what a power icon looks like and I'm sure that will show you a picture.  a power icon isn't something that's talked about a lot so not uncommon to not know what it is.

Doesn't appear on my s24. Is there anything wrong with just having a **bleep**ing power button? I'm ditching my Samsung products tommorow.

From Where your battery percentage is at (top right corner), slide down the quick menu. Once in the quick menu,  on the top right corner again, you will see a Pencil, power, and gear icon. Tap the power icon and on the bottom you will see "side button settings". Thats where you can change to power button back.

hi. Chill. I nearly ditched my mobile. We've all got more important things to do than fanny around with the millstones round our neck, called "smart" tech.... Hope your prob was solved, before , like me, you tore out half your hair. At 82 years of age, I dont need this .... 😉

My side button under advance features just closes app. I can't get to any side button settings . Galaxy S22+

My touch screen on A16 stopped working also so I couldn't power off or use my touch screen.  To fix, to power off without touch screen you have to connect phone to charger, then press volume down button and power button at the same time for 5 seconds until it powers off.   When it comes back up touch screen should work.  Then two finger swipe from top until Wifi and Bluetooth appear at top.  Above the t in Bluetooth press little white power button between pencil and settings on top right.   When power screen comes up, at bottom press Side Button Settings. Then  Press word "Long Press" and Select "Power off menu" for Power off ...not Digital assistant

Hold volume down and power button to get that menu. What a **bleep**g pain.

I even asked it to take itself off my phone.  The reply was "I can't do that".   You do a Google search, at least for me, the first thing that comes up is an AI response.

I tried that on my grandmother's Samsung A16. Could get the pull down menue but thats it. No response from any of the screen buttons
