Fingerprints doesn't work on dry skin

It's winter and my fingers are dry.

Fingerprint scanner not working so I erased all fingerprint profiles and started over.

Fingerprint test doesn't match any of the profiles. Erased and tried over and over again.

Cannot get fingerprint scanner to work with dry skin.

Any help?

Try pressing a little harder on the scanner area.

@SlicePi Yep, this happens to me every fall/winter when the furnaces dry out my hands. You can apply hand lotion or continually update the scanned fingerprint.

I don't get that problem in my apartment, humidifiers are a thing you know. I have them so my very expensive furniture doesn't get dried out during the winter.

I have plenty of dry skin in the winter, but I have personally never experienced this fingerprint reader issue.

I have the 24FE which doesn't have the ultrasonic fingerprint reader

Give your fingerprint a quick lick? 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can 1. Lick your finger, dry it off and quickly press on your fingerprint or 2. Put on lotion.
