Hi and thank you in advance for any help you may provide! I did an update on my phone this morning and ever since then my email has been messed up. I use the general Samsung/Android email app and it is connected to my comcast server. I'm having trouble when trying to compose an email. I type a paragraph or two and then I try to scroll back up to the top to proofread and the screen immediately jumps back down to the bottom. This occurs whether or not the keyboard is open. I have disabled the writing assistant and can find no grammar applications that are turned on. I don't know what else to do but it's very frustrating! I have also reset my phone and cleared the email cache but I do not wish to clear the data. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you clear the device cache? Sometimes old temporary system files can mess things up in unexpected ways.

How to clear device cache:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Check Samsung store app for any app updates.

Where you cleared cache of the email app, go there and tap force stop. Then close all your apps and restart your device.

Thank you! I will try that. I'm not ready to do recovery mode because I'm always afraid I will lose everything lol Sunshine

You won't lose anything as long as you don't select "wipe data/factory reset." Wiping cache won't hurt anything. Try that if the other approach doesn't solve your problem. It's recommended after system updates, anyway.

It only started after this morning's update so I assume it turned on a feature or added one. It previously happened to my color note app years ago but turning off Grammarly fixed it then.

Nothing works to fix this problem. It has made emailing IMPOSSIBLE. I guess I'll be buying a non-samsung phone for myself for xmas. Samsung should have fixed this obvious bug immediately.
