How do I turn these annoying things off?

The app notification settings for Device Care don't allow the notifications to be disabled. Is there another way?

@Members_12ZJ0p5 What notifications are you receiving from Device Care?

Try this, go to phone settings -> Notifications -> Advanced settings and turn on the option "Manage notification categories for each app".

Then go to the Device care notifications, click on Notification categories  and turn off the items that you don't want to receive.

This does not work for Device Care.  The notifications go off in the middle of the night for no reason at all.

I have all the apps turned off but still the Device care notifications keep coming.  There is no way to turn that off.

Exactly what Notifications are you getting?

The Roon notification went away when I deselected "Memory". Too bad you can't do it by app, as I wouldn't mind getting notified if there's an issue with other apps.

Try the solution here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/A-Series-Other-Mobile/Check-background-power-use-notification/td...

I do not get, nor have I ever gotten a notification from Device Care.

Doesnt work:-(

I'm still angry at Samsung for putting us thru this nonsense.

I cannot get this phone to stop  changing my typed "for", into "fir" same resistance to what I want to what the phone wants to do!

Depending on which keyboard you are using, you can find and turn off the auto correct feature. You can then get suggestions, rather than auto corrected words.  Go to settings/general management/keyboard list and default. If you are using Samsung keyboard, tap on the Samsung keyboard text and the settings will come up (I believe you can also do this through the settings gear on the keyboard itself). In the settings, turn on predictive text (for text suggestions) and tap "auto replace" and turn it off. If you are using Google keyboard, tap on the Google keyboard (also available through the settings gear on the keyboard) and tap "text correction".  Turn off auto corrections.

This will result in you getting suggestions you can tap on should you choose to use the suggested word(s), but not automatically replace them with words you don't want.  Any other keyboard, I'm sure has the same settings to enable or disable autocorrect.

If you are getting device care notifications, and you enabled notification categories and turned everything off for Device Care, you should take the time to read the notification and act on what it is telling you.  It does not randomly send notifications unless there is something that needs attention - which it will do even if your notifications are off.  Your text corrections are an entirely different matter.  For that you have to turn off auto replace in the keyboard text correction settings.

Well,

I assure you I took all the steps suggested.

Rebooted. Going well for a few days. Then

Back it is this morning in the wee hours.

I corrected the text correction matter. Thanks. That matter has been resolved.

This device care nag, isn't. ..."the rest of us". Are you speaking for others now? LoL.
