Two of my text message threads have completely disappeared. I am not aware of having deleted them. This also happened to one thread on my daughter's Samsung phone. Unfortunately, the Google Messages app doesn't allow for recovery by simply having them in Trash. They are just gone.
Does anyone have a suggestion for recovering the thread?
Is there a way to get them with a phone-to-phone link, wired or bluetooth? She has the complete thread of one set of messages I am missing, and vice versa.
Can we make a copy of a thread and text or email it to the other person?
We are both just sick that they are gone and weren't backed up. Yes, we know that was stupid!
I've experienced the same thing in several of my Google accounts. Same of my longest, and most meaningful message strains have been wiped out prior to dates ranging from one month ago to almost 2 years ago. There is no identifiable pattern as far as on what date all prior messages exchanged between me and a contract. This is extremely disappointing, and I just noticed it within the last week. I have tried many distinct tactics for retrieving the messages, but none has yet been successful.
