Change the new app icons

I didn't even see the update happen, so i couldn't even prepare myself for the ugliness of the new app icons, like who designs it, who thinks it looks good, and some the emojis too, like the dolphin emoji lowkey is chopped. Fix it, like I'm already depressed bro😭😭

Change can be difficult. The update cannot be rolled back.

What's wrong with the icons? If you don't like them get an icon pack and change them.

The drawback to icon packs is the weather icon will no longer display the current temp, it only displays the last temp when the app was open. The calendar icon switches to 31 and not the current date.

Although I'm not sure that the weather icon is ever dynamic (I've never seen it change with the default icon pack,) you are correct about dynamic icons (clock and calendar,) as mentioned in my post. Theme Park is, unfortunately, a very incomplete theming tool.

A brand that markets itself as being highly customizable should have adequate tools for customization. Samsung has received a good bit of feedback on these issues, and I sincerely hope those requests do not fall on deaf ears.

Apparently I didn't apply the One UI 6.1 icon pack correctly. I got the pack to apply the date does work but not all the icons changed to a more square shape, only certain ones so it looks even more goofy. If I just use Theme Park to change the shape to square the weather and calendar no longer work.

This only works with (some) Galaxy Themes. Applying icon packs from the Play Store using Theme Park results in a few different visual inconsistencies — namely, breaking dynamic icons, breaking splash screens, and replacing the lock screen shortcuts.

I noticed that. I hadn't messed with Theme Park and at first I thought I applied the One UI 6.1 icon pack but I didn't, I only edited the shape of the icons and that made the calendar and weather widget go static. I am not that tech savvy but figured out how to apply the One UI 6.1 icon pack and noticed the calendar displays correctly but half the widgets are square and the rest are still the new rounded style. I like the square icon look but prefer a working calendar and weather widget back to the new style for now.

I am using The Weather Channel 1X1 widget and it displays current temp upon turning the phone on without opening it. When I applied the icon pack I noticed it didn't change the temp until I opened app.
