I have a Samsung S24 running Oneui7.

I would like to see an icon in the status bar when location and bluetooth are turned on among other things.

I have installed Good Lock and Quickstar.  Quickstar looks like it should do the trick but  apparently does not work in OneUI7 and does not work for me.

Any info on if  Quickstar should work and when this feature may function in oneui7 would be appreciated.

Are there any other options to customize the status bar.

You can already have the location status bar icon on, it actually should be on by default.  The white location icon is on the primary status bar, the green location access notification icon is on the secondary status bar an cannot be turned off.  The Bluetooth, alarm and other icons remain on the secondary status bar when you pull down the quick panel shade. Quickstar works in OneUI7, the indicators that it makes visible, makes them visible on the secondary status bar, not the primary.

QuickStar works on 1UI7, at least for me. Both location and Bluetooth are default tiles that can be seen as @realaud said. It is the only straightforward app I have used besides adding a few more tiles from the Developer Options.

Based on the replies I am seeing Quickstar is not the solution to modifying the primary Status Bar.

The main question is:  Can the bluetooth icon and the locaton icon be displayed on the primary status bar when they are on?    I know they are both visible in the Quick pulldown menu but I am looking for them to display in the status bar.    Why?  Because I find myself leaving these on which promotes battery drain.

Is there a widget or any other solution?

The quick answer is "no".  Google has decided you don't need to see those icons on the primary status bar.  QuickStar gives you the ability to make sure you can see them on the secondary status bar.  I do not believe this is going to change.  Neither Bluetooth nor the location use any measurable battery resources (I challenge you to find them in the battery usage statistics), so having them on will not cause any appreciable battery drain - if that was the case, people with smart watches would never get a full day's use out of either their phones or watches.  You can turn BT off until you are actively using it, but all that will do is inconvenience you by having to turn it on when you do want to use a BT device.  You can turn location services off, but you will find that certain apps will no longer work properly.  Your phone's location is always in use by the system, whether you actually enable it or not.

You should be able to create a routine (or routines), to turn BT on/off automatically under certain conditions, and the same with location services.  Leaving them be or creating a routine would be your only options currently.

Can you explain what you see because I see them when they run, it's actually a bit annoying when the location goes on for a few seconds then turns off, I use regi star and quick star, so I can see what and when things go on and what app is causing it. Maybe try to set up those, or for some reason if it doesn't work maybe set up a mode where Bluetooth and location get shut off under certain conditions?

Also to add to the battery comment, you can download Samsung's Good guardians app and see how much battery is used and what is consuming your battery and will suggest setting changes to optimize you battery life. Between GoodLock and Good Guardian Samsung apps you should be good to go

S23 ULTRA Home Screen changed on its own. Any ideas on how to restore it to what it was? Don't know what caused it...

Post this in the S23 forum instead of in someone else's thread in the S24 forum.

I made a substantial effort trying to restore the visibility of the icon without having to pull down the quick access menu as well over the past few days. after a lot of research and trying different things I ultimately I downgraded the firmware to 6.1. I know I'm not alone when I say that I'm disappointed in whoever made the final call to remove the Bluetooth icon visibility from the primary status bar. I've seen claims that it was an effort to "declutter" the status bar but I don't understand how anyone would think this was a good idea. if that was the goal then they should have integrated the functionality of quickstar by default so that users can control the visibility of icons displayed on the status bar in general. I know that's easier said than done but completely removing the icon is not justifiable in my opinion. best of luck to you and everyone else who shares my frustration with that decision and I sure hope the dev team rolls back that decision in the next release.
