Can I please have my icons back in the status bar when the screen is in the on position? Am I missing something? So the way they want to show us our current status in things like alarms, Bluetooth, etc. is by not showing us the status in the "status bar" but to have us go swiping around to figure it out.... but they left some of the icons which really makes no sense whatsoever??!! I just want my status bar as it was, an actual status of EVERYTHING bar not just some things, or at the very least let me turn them off or on myself and DON'T GO SAYING use QuickStar cause that doesn't fix it, it only turns the icons on on certain screens which STILL defeats the purpose, I should be able to glance up ON ANY SCREEN that's open and see the status!! The status should be displayed the same on every screen and ESPECIALLY the home or screen in on position!! Highly irritated with this!! Needs to show alarm icon, Bluetooth icon, and NFC icon especially!! Not happy

Thanks for trying to help but thats not what we or I am referring to, the complaint is about the status bar at the very top of the screen and the icons that are no longer there (or are only there on certain screens) that I and a whole lot of other people found useful so that no matter what screen we are navigated to it would take a simple glance up to the top of the screen to see the status of things like the alarm icon (which if there is an alarm icon showing that meant that your alarms are in the on postion set to go off at whatever times you have set,) and the Bluetooth icon (which if there is a Bluetooth icon showing that could remind you that you were using Bluetooth ear buds and were still on possibly, I didnt have issue with that one so much as I rarely use Bluetooth headphones and I always have Bluetooth on so that my phone automatically connects to my car, but lots of people didn't like that the Bluetooth icon was no longer showing so they said they were leaving the ear buds on and forgetting to turn them off cause icon isn't there so led them to believe their buds were off and then when they went to use them again they were dead,) and lastly the NFC radio/reader icon no longer shows which can be very dangerous if you are in crowded locations cause nefarious types could use those little Chinese devices (that do things like hack your router, steal the code for your garage door, steal the code that is embedded in some car keys and if that vehicle has push button start then the device can spoof having the key for the vehicle to the disablement and security system and then allow them to turn the car on with the push button and then steal your car,) to swipe your nfc on your phone without you knowing and steal all sorts of your data, credit card info, bank account info etc etc, so I amd many others find that ridiculous that you can only see if your NFC is in the on position at certain locations or on certain screens that you've navigated to and consider this a HUGE security flaw and basically a giant invitation for these types to try this more and more !! I guess some people dont mind navigating around on their phone to do certain things or use certain features or now apparently see if a feature is on or off, but I do not like it at all and definitely agree that could be a big hole in security, and and most definitely a huge annoyance!? So as i stated in my initial rant, the status bar is supposed to show me the status of any feature that is or is not in use on any and ALL screens that i may navigate to, ESPECIALLY the home screen (the screen that you arrive at when you turn on the phone and then unlock it) and that is why it's called a status bar, should be called "the status of everything " bar, not "the status of some stuff" bar?!?! I shouldn't have to dig around (navigate around to different screens/locations) in my phone to determine if a feature is actively in use (or the "status" of said feature) that defeats the whole purpose of the status bar.
So, you know what I have to do now every single night of my life, I have to turn the screen on then make a swipe or 2 just to verify that my alarm is in the on postion, and I have to actively remember to do this every single night, whereas I used to just take a quick half a second glance to the top of the screen to see that my alarms were in fact set to go off and I rarely had to remember to turn on my phone for the sole purpose of checking the status of the alarm cause I almost always had already seen it in the status bar at some point that evening and if at which time it was off for some reason then I would turn it back on which i would then remember that I didn't need to bother checking it again later that evening!?! So that is my, and whole bunch of others, gripe about how Samsung did this with the latest UI update (source is Samsung rep in Samsung Magazine interview [screenshot provided earlier]

If they are choosing to eliminate a feature, they should know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there are many of their customers that are using that feature, cause if its there then somebody, likely many somebodies, are using it.... so unless they are making that feature better in some way or easier or more intuitive to use , then its safe to assume that at least some of the people (their customers) that were using it are likely going to be annoyed and irritated!!! So why not save everyone the headache and allow the end users to decide which feature's status/icons they would like displayed in their own status bar, can't be that difficult??!!
On an even more confusing note, they allow you to add some of them back with the GoodLock app with QuickStar plugin, but oddly only adds the icons back if you are on certain screens , and the "home" screen is not one of them???? Why????
