S24 Battery Drain Post-Update

I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast. 

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software. 

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

Noticed a lot more battery drain after ui7 update on my s24 ultra

Maybe do a soft reboot and try that. Usually helps with clearing easy bugs.

I've done everything from clearing my cache & turning everything I don't need off & after updating to 1UI 7.
I went from charging once a day, to 3 times a day. I do know YouTube Runs much warmer than before the update but, I can sit my phone down & lock screen off & my drains without using it. Didn't do this before the update

Read that it's affecting the s24 and s25 so far guess is issue in ui7

The system is hogging all the battery by letting everything run at will.

Mine got much better after turning off ¾ of the apps running in the background. Definitely the system setup to run as it pleases.

I was an long time Iphone user and I decided to switch over to S24U last year and it was the best decision ever. Phone capabilities is unimaginable to even describe. Since April 2025 phone update, my phone battery is drained out faster than normal. Charging my phone from 1 time throughout the day to 2/3 in a day. 

I believe they most be a glitch in the update software. But they need to fix it fast before I go back to IPhone. 😡😡

Ive had my samsung galaxy s24 for about a year, its genuinely an incredible phone. All though recently my battery life has significantly decreased i used to get around 16-14 hours of battery life and now its decreasing by the day, does one ui 7 have anything to do with this??
