Apps Disappearing from Recent Apps Screen After One UI 8 Update

After updating my Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 8 (Android 16), I've noticed that some apps occasionally disappear from the Recent Apps screen, even though they are still running in the background.

For example, if I open the Amazon app and then exit it, it sometimes doesn't appear in the Recents view, but when I open it again from the home screen, it resumes exactly where I left off.

This happens with multiple apps, not just Amazon. If I go to the app settings and force stop the app, then open it again, it appears normally in the Recents screen - but later, the issue comes back.

So the app stays active in memory, but it's not shown visually in the Recent Apps list.

One UI Version: 8.0

Android Version: 16

Hmm not sure what's happening maybe the apps need uodate after ui8 had a few that did after or try clearing the apps cache in apps setting

I updated all apps after updating to ui8

I am facing the exact same issue. I have it with Amazon and google maps.

Also started facing this when I upgraded my S24ultra to One UI 8

It has happened to me with several applications, chat gpt for example

I have the same issue with few applications and I have no idea how to fix it 😐 I use Fold 5 and it happened after One UI 8 update.

I reported it, do the same to see if you can solve it, it really gets uncomfortable

This is happening for me as well. Galaxy Z Fold 6 on OneUI v8.0. Most recent app sometimes does not appear in recent apps. When you switch to another app, you cannot return to the app that you were in from 'recent apps'. You have to 'reopen' the app manually. Very annoying

I have the same problem, it's not app specific. I've had it happen with Instagram, Firefox, maps, obsidian, OneDrive, definitely seems to be an issue with the update. 

Where did you report the bug?

Exactly, it happens with any app, right now it's happening to me with the Members app itself.
