Supposedly the Starlink beta is now running,  and I registered last month. But I've seen zero response.

I contacted Samsung support chat and they said the s25 series had but other places said both they had it or didn't have. Sure would be nice to find something on official samsung site about this if it exists and some details about how it works. I currently have the s22 Ultra but would only trade up if s25 had satellite option. I'm 80 yrs old and still like to explore remote places and having satellite back up would be great.

Apparently the Qualcomm chip in the s25 series is capable of satellite texting but from here it gets confusing. Apparently it's now up to the individual carriers to establish a contract with a satellite carrier as with the Google Pixel 9 which uses Skylo and others use Starlink. I have US Cellular (soon to be owned by T Mobile) so I guess it's just a waiting game to see who utilizes the s25 capability and when it happens.

I received a notification from tmobile stating I've been included in the beta for starlink. I can behind using the service but in settings it says I dont have the service. Am I missing a step or I have to wait to next software update???

I think you would have to contact T-Mobile about that, since it's their contract with Starlink. It's my understanding, though, that the Starlink feature is only meant to augment mobile service when in remote areas. There may not actually be an "on" switch and it may not be active all the time.

You are right. It only showed up after I turned off my wifi and placed my phone in airplane mode. After I turned off airplane mode it finally said" You're subscribed "

I agree, contacting T-Mobile is what you should do...that being said, I got the same notification today. If you go into your phone settings, then "Connections", does yours look like my screenshot? Also, as Realaud said above, it only connects to the satellite when your signal is low or in remote areas. That's how I understood it too. It also is only for text messaging at this segment of the beta. They said picture messaging, data services and voice calling will be in the future...1741833086968.jpg

Guys I forgot to mention i restarted my phone and it showed up. Personally I dont really have a need for satellite anything. I live in a major city and there is service everywhere. I'm not planning on being in the woods or forest anytime in my life lol

You never know. Stuff happens.  Even in a big city the power grid can go down, affecting cell service (reference Texas during winter storms). Don't know how much I trust Starlink, though.
