Can you elaborate?  There is an area of the screen where you can't add icons?  What is the size of your home screen grid.  One UI7 does appear to have a larger "no fly zone" between the status bar and the first area where you can place an app or widget, but it could just look that way to me because they reduced the size of the widget within it's frame for my top widget and I did change my wallpaper so that the status bar and home screen blend.  Can you provide a screen shot?  Currently I use a 5x5 grid, what is your home screen grid set at?

Grid 6x6 . I pretty much use home up. So can change option to full screen use. But would of liked it better if samsung added this permanently. See the icons thats the furthest down it can go 1755103504317.jpg

The area below the page indicators and above the navigation bar is reserved for the favorites row.  You should be able to add up to 8 apps in favorites, using home up. You can also create folders on the favorites bar as well (in case you have more than 8 frequently used apps).  You seem to like a minimal screen design, so I'm not quite sure why this is an issue for you other than esthetics.  If you can't add apps to your home screen at all, you may have the home page locked to changes.  You can unlock it in the home screen settings.  Many people lock the screen once they have it set the way they like it in order to prevent accidental movement of their icons.  They then forget completely that they did this.

Home up *is* a Samsung app. It is the customization suite for Samsung devices.  You can make it full screen permanently because you want it that way, but the only way to do it would be with Home Up.  Not everyone wants that particular feature (or any feature that any one other individual may want), hence the compartmentalized customization modules.

Thank you i know about all of this 😂. I just would of think I could of added all icons to the right. And closes to the bottom without home up. And not using the favorites from left to right then up the right side of phone. But truly do get it. Not all uses will like it. Thank you for the info.👊

If you want your favorites up the right side of your phone, you can always add the "apps" edge panel, and put all your favorites there. You can use Home Up to put more apps in view without scrolling. That way you only have to swipe right to left to access them.  I assume you are using the phone one handed.  Did you switch to one handed mode or are  you just building your own one handed design?

So, try the edge panel if it still works in the beta. I really like the edge panels.  I use the apps panel, the people panel (for my favorite contacts), the clipboard panel, and the tools panel.  I positioned the panel handle on the right side so it's an easy slide out.
