I'm having an issue where the access point names on my S24 disappear whenever I restart my phone. I'm using Ting which is operating on the Verizon network. When I activated the phone I was unable to use data or send/receive MMS messages. I contacted Ting and they provided 3 APNs to correct this issue. Once I saved the new APNs I toggled airplane mode and everything worked great. The problem is whenever I restart my phone the APNs disappear and I'm back to square one. Does anyone know of a solution to make the APNs permanent or at least prevent them from disappearing when the phone is restarted? I don't understand why they survive airplane mode, which disconnects the SIM card, but when the phone reboots they disappear. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions

It seems to me that since APNs are carrier configurations, you should be contacting your carrier.  They are the ones who configure your phone for the APNs.

Thanks for your reply. I contacted my carrier and they suggested I reach out to Samsung. I've been reading everything I can find on this topic and apparently users on a variety of carriers have been having this same issue for a few years with several different Galaxy phones (S21, S22, S23, S24). The consensus seems to be that it's an issue Samsung needs to address in a software update, although I realize people on Reddit don't necessarily know what they're talking about.

Just wanted to provide an update in case anyone else runs into this issue. I never was able to find a solution but a workaround that seems to work is to put your phone in airplane mode before you restart it. If your phone dies because you run out of battery this isn't going to help but if you just want to occasionally restart your phone put it in airplane mode before doing so and it should still have the APNs programmed in when it comes back on. Thanks

Have you ever put in an error report with Samsung on the issue?  They can't fix what they don't know about, and they are not reading reddit. I suggest putting in an error report immediately after a reboot where this condition happens, as the information will still be in the logs.
