Wired Headphones do not work with splitter

I have the S23 Ultra and have always used one of those power/headphone splitters without issue, even on my S23 Ultra, until recently. Not sure if its post an update or not, but the phone does not see the headset when connected through the splitter. The splitter works fine on my wife's S20 Ultra and the headphones work fine without the splitter. Any thoughts or suggestions?
