Lately, I have noticed my phone saving more voice mails. I hardly ever check them, which keeps it full (to not allow spam calls to leave messages) most of all the time. I currently have 35 saved messages. Why is my phone allowing more and more messages to be left and saved? Thank you family!

Voicemail is a carrier thing. You should contact them.

So you leave your VM full so spammers can't leave messages, but neither can legitimate callers. Or does no one you know ever call you? With a visial voicemail app, you can just delete all spam messages without ever having to listen to them. Mujibar is correct, your voicemail box capacity is controlled by your carrier. It's usually measured in how much space is given, not how many messages. So if you have some long messages and some short ones, you will have more messages in the allocated space.
