You would need to send feedback to Google to request system font support. You can do so within the Google messages app or by emailing apps-help@google.com
Samsung messages are not going away and Google messages is just temporary. Samsung messages has some big changes coming in 8.5 especially with themes and fonts. Don't let the Google addicts fear monger you.
Please provide a link to an official statement from Samsung Newsroom US to support your claim that Google Messages will only be the default messaging app temporarily.
