Smarttag2 problem

Added smart tag 2 on smart things app and it keeps getting stuck on the "before using this tag" screen with unresponsive continue button. You can go back to smart things menu no problem with phone navigation buttons. I've tried reinstalling the app clearing data , clearing cache and even resetting the smart tag restarting the phone same results . Everytime i added it got stuck on that screen. I have an s23 ultra all software and firmware updated. I tried pairing smart tag with my girlfriends s21 ultra and everything worked fine. Some one please help before I return the smart tags to the store...

Update got a response from samsung, theres no solution for the problem. I googled a bunch and found some one temporarily fixed it by installing an older version of smart things and turned off updates to prevent the problem from returning until samsung fixes it. Version 1.8.27.22 did it for me. All other versions have the same problem. If you can get the older apk file , uninstall current version and install old version turn off automatic updates, should be good to go.

Seems to be maybe more than just an issue with the tag. Like SmartThings in general, any device card I select, the app freezes and I can no longer select any options other than using my phones navigation to go back to the main menu. Only with my lights can I select the device card, and actually select an option.

My S90D TV, my Q930D Soundbar, etc. are all freezing when I select the device card. Why is this? And is there absolutely nothing I can do but try my best to download an OLDER version of the app?

Your problem seems more serious than mine , but what i got from samsungs response was they know about the problem , they dont have a solution and or not currently looking into it so no eta on when it will be fixed. Best fix would be to uninstall and install older version of smart things. The version i listed above fixed it for me. Give it a try and dont forget to turn off auto update for smart things, do not update the app if you want to keep using it without problems. Samsung is dropping the ball on this for sure... i bought smart tags over tile because it was a better fit with the samsung phone but i was only led to disappointment... tile never had any issues and everything worked out of the box even their app was flawless

Same issues here on my S25ultra. However, I fired up my old s23 Ultra and it works fine. Checked and both are at the same release levels.

Same here on my S25 Ultra. Not having the problem on my Galaxy Fold 3.
