Galaxy S23If the IT department of your company or former company will not release your phone from their control, the only option you have is to get a new phone (or threaten legal action). They are required to release it. They can't say they don't have control to do that, because if they can add it, they can release it. This should actually be part of the exit protocol of every company that puts employee's phones on administrative control - why would they want people who no longer work there walking out with their work product?

Galaxy S23Samsung does not pre-install work profiles. That is something you have to add yourself. Where did you get the phone? If you bought it off a third party site, it may have been part of an enterprise batch of phones. Did you just get the phone, or have you had it for 2 years without noticing it? I believe all the phones have the capability to add a work profile. You really should make a new post on this, as this post is months old and resolved and you are not likely to have anyone see it who can help you.

Galaxy S23I don't think AT&T would have had any reason to add it. In any case it's only a work profile to keep your work apps/data separate from your personal data. I does not appear to be administratively controlled, so you're good. I believe it can be disabled, but I am unknowledgeable about that. That's why I suggested making a separate, new post -- you'll get more eyes on it.
Try this:
To disable a work profile on your Galaxy phone, follow these steps
Go to Settings on your Android device.
Tap on "Accounts" or "Users & Accounts" depending on your device.
Tap on the work account you want to remove.
Tap "Remove work profile" or "Turn Off Profile" to disable the work profile.
Confirm the removal by tapping "Delete" or "OK".
