Just the last few days I started to notice a shadow box near the bottom of the phone screen. I can only see it while watching a video or streaming one. It shows up when I take a screen shot but during normal use I do not see it. What could it be, and is this something with the apps or the screen itself?

I have the same shadow rectangle, but I can see it most of the time. I just noticed it today. I have no solution, but am hoping someone shares a solution. It is extremely annoying.

I just a full restart and it cleared. Hold the bottom two buttons on the right to get the restart menu.

Mine is doing the same, phone is only a week old, ugh, annoying, but I just restarted it and it's gone, I hope it doesn't come back soon. Does SAMSUNG even read these threads and care to fix these bugs?

Hey there! I can certainly understand not wanting a shadow on your screen!

I would suggest putting the device in safe mode by following these steps,

Press and hold the. Power button. until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release.
Touch and hold. Power off. until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release.
To confirm, tap. Safe mode. . ...
With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.

If you're still having this issue after putting it in safe mode I would next suggest having a certified technician take a look at it!
