I posted when my phone first updated. It kept saying "my phone had a serious software issue" and would give me an option to update or do nothing. It would not do anything. I tried everything from wiping the cache (3 times), deleting a lot of my apps, restarting, and just giving it a few days. Oh yeah, texting Samsung. The only thing that helped I had to factory reset my phone. This is the only thing that stopped the constant turning off and on. I really did not want to do this but ended up having to. Everything is working and it seems like it is back to normal.

Sorry to hear factory reset was the only thing that worked, but glad your phone is behaving now.

When you factory reset, you get a clean, new operating system that is not encumbered by being overlaid and swapped out over the old one. This would normally clear up any "serious software errors", as those errors usually happen because of conflicts in software, an incomplete or interrupted update, or conflicts in a user's configuration.  Usually the reset is the last resort, but sometimes it's the only way.  That's why having current backups is essential. With Samsung's automatic backup, the process is less painless, but some personal data may be lost, so one should regularly back up anything that is not contained in the Samsung backup.

Yes I always have a back up I was just dreading it because I finally had my phone perfect for everything I use it for on a daily basis. It actually made my phone work much quicker and seamlessly. I appreciate the replies. I hope everybody made it through the update pretty quickly and easily.
