Galaxy S23I'm having the same problem with my S23 and I tried wiping the cache partition, but it didn't help at all. The only way that I can get any access to the files on my phone from my computer, is to set it to "Transferring Files / Android Auto", under the "Use USB For" in "USB Settings". But, this will only work for this one instance though. Once I remove the USB connection and then re-connect it I have to do it all over again. Plus, the only way I can get to "USB Settings" is to search for it when I'm in the Settings app. I have looked in all of the areas in Settings, but I cannot find "USB Settings" at all. I only see it as a search result when I search for it.

Galaxy S23I have tried wiping the cache partition AFTER doing everything else, from checking the cables, going into Developer mode, etc. The cables work ok with my S7 and S4. This problem developed after installing the update One UI version 8.0, Android version 16 and Android security patch level November 1, 2025. Please note that I tried this on 2 Win 11 computers and I have 2 Samsung S23 Ultras and used different cables also. Verizon told me to UNINSTALL the update!! Unbelievable!! How is that even possible? Then the tech walked back her comments after I asked how! She couldnt even answer how to her stupid response. Everyone is guessing and it makes me disgusted with the support. Samsung better get with the program and fix this **bleep** NOW !!

Galaxy S23I can reset the USB settings to allow file transfer but the next time I want to transfer anything I have to go through the USB settings adjustment AGAIN. Why won't the USB file transfer setting stay as a default?
