I had to factory reset my phone. I backed all of my photos to Google and the Samsung cloud. When I restored everything the photos were gone. Amy suggestions?

Gallery photos get backed up to Microsoft One Drive, if you have an account.
Your photos will back up to Google Photos, if it's installed.
Hopefully you have one or the other of these.

You will need to select the photos in Google Photos and download them to your device. Google Photos will not automatically repopulate the Photos to your devices.

If you had your backup to OneDrive, the Photos would reappear in torture Gallery.

I guess I was unaware SD slot option is no longer available.
I'm glad my older Note20Ultra does.

Strange that Samsung would remove a foolproof life saving option.
I'm not really a fan of cloud options.
Makes my phone basically worthless if at the cabin with being out of range & no service from towers.

Makes one wonder if Geek Squad service can access phone to access internal files.

Last time I moved just the gallery files to laptop it showed 26,000 images.

I'd be a little upset if they vaporized. So I feel for Ya.

It's been at least 5 years since it was announced that S-series phones would no longer have an SD slot - something you should have discovered as soon as you bought your phone if you never saw any articles about it.  S series phones ended SD cards with the S20. The SD card slot is no longer needed for devices with larger storage capacity, and if one wants to backup or offload photos, music and data, you can now attach a flash drive or other external media to do so; therefore, rendering the SD card irrelevant.

Open Google photos and see if your photos are there. If they don't repopulate the gallery in a day or two, you can redownload them to your phone.
