Galaxy S23I've seen a million posts already about this with no reasonable solution, so I'm starting my own thread.
Here's the very simple and easily explainable problem: Samsung Galaxy's latest OneUI update (which was a profound flop of amess in so many ways) keeps giving the erroneous notification that the SIM card is missing. Whoever built this update really needs to go into some other line of work, because phones with an eSIM DON'T HAVE A SIM CARD!!! How could they not know this and test for it before releasing this nightmare of an update?
Someone, anyone, please! Tell the rest of the Galaxy users (since it's not limited to the S23) how to get rid of this repetitively annoying notification!

Galaxy S23They also will tell you to go with your Carrier because is not Samsung's fault (I had a eSIM and changed to a physical SIM and didn't work)
And for the last they will tell you to take your device or ship it to a Samsung center (You know everything was fine til you get the update, so they don't going to fix it even if you ship it)
Just wait til this people wants to give us an update that fix this

Galaxy S23I know, crazy, right? Funny how they're pointing the finger at the carrier when I've seen this problem reported on all Galaxy models and all carriers, and it's clearly related to their update.
I called Verizon and they simply said it had nothing to do with the carrier. "We update our network, not Samsung phones. If they think there's a SIM card missing on a phone that doesn't have one, and it's a phone they built, and a UI they updated, they are the only ones who can fix it." No kidding. But good luck getting Samsung to admit fault, respond to a thread, answer a call, or fix a problem. Time to switch to a new company, I think.

Galaxy S23To be completely honest, I thought this was a joke at first. But it seemed harmless so I gave it a shot. Somehow, I think it totally worked. I had the notification on my phone at the time and it went away without me having to clear it. It looks promising, so I hope it doesn't come back. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
For anyone reading this, I performed this sequence on an S22 Ultra.

Galaxy S23I can't help with those with an eSIM but for those with a physical SIM, I removed the SIM tray and put it back in. That solved my issue and removed the "no SIM error". Didn't clean anything, didn't reboot, just removed the tray and slid it back in.

Galaxy S23I backed up My S21FE 5G phone using Smart Switch. Then I shut down my phone. I took out the SIM card. I turned it on by pressing the volume up and the power button at the same time until I got into the ONEUI BIOS. I then chose factory reset. After reset I selected to start my phone again. I put my SIM card back in. Once started, I did not do any backup restore and went through the prompts to set it up again. When I finally got to the home screen, I was back to normal with the SIM being recognized. You can then restore your phone via Samsung Smart Switch.
