One UI 8 feature loss

One UI has removed the feature to add a recent caller to the contact list. The only options available now are to copy phone number or delete.

I don't understand the testing process. This type of validation can be automated so it should not be difficult to ensure basic feature validation on a release.

All you have to do is tap the telephone number you want to add and you get the add to contacts or add tags option.

@GaryB82 On my phone, now running OneUI8.0, the add button has been relocated, but it's still there.  @ks5 to add a new number from the recents list to your contacts, tap the number, then tap the "more info" circle on the right.  At the bottom of the screen, on the left is the add option.  Tap that and add the number to your contacts.  If  your screen looks like Gary's, follow his directions.

My phone is running 8.0 my screenshots shows you just have to tap the phone number. Only way to get to your screenshot is to also tap the 3 line icon circled

I'm not trying to contradict you, that's the way my recents list add contact *used to* appear.  Since OneUI 7.0, it's been as screenshotted, and perhaps the OPs as well.  This is the version of the phone app, I have.

That must be on the A model's then since I know that the Fold 5 and Fold 7's and the S25's all have it right when you click on the number.

The OP posted in the S23 category, so I assume that's the phone they have.  It may have the same interface as mine, but not yours.  In any case, now the OP has the either/or instructions to be able to add a new contact.
