So, I just downloaded the new one UI 8. Is anyone else having problems with it since they've downloaded it? Since the download now when I open an app there's a non-animated AR row going in a circlearrow circle... what's that all about? I'm also having problems with the Amplify Ambient Sound always running in the background.

Wipe the device cache partition. This will clear out temporary system files and is advised after every firmware update.

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Yes, a few users are experiencing issues after updating to One UI 8, such as:

Battery drain – Try restarting and checking background apps.

App crashes – Update apps or clear app cache.

Performance lag – Clear system cache or factory reset.

Wi-Fi issues – Reset network settings.

UI glitches – Restart your device or wait for a patch.

If the issues persist, keep an eye out for further updates or report bugs through Samsung Members.

My only gripe about OneUI 8.0 is that I can no longer use the Volume Down key to go from Vibrate Only to All Sounds Off Mode. I have to pull down from the top and press the onscreen button to select it. That's apparently a behavior that's changed with the new update, and I've sent Samsung feedback, who says that it was "designed that way". I replied that I know that, but there's enough complaints about it here that that should constitute a change.

No more mute control on the volume button is blasphemy.

@DeRo0409 @JeepGuy95

Settings > Modes and Routines > Routines. Tap the + in the top right.

If: button action > volume down > press and hold

Then: Sound Mode > Silent

Save the routine. Your phone now silences when you long press volume down.

Edit: This method requires Routines+ to be installed.

Please share screenshots of what you are seeing. The process described is identical on all Samsung smartphones.
