Navigation Bar used to be able to disappear and bring it back up, bring that feature back!

Prior to the update that did more harm than good, the navigation bar used to disappear after a few seconds, allowing me to access things along the bottom of app screens. Tapping the screen would bring the bar back up so I could navigate the phone. Post update, the bar doesn't disappear, and I cannot fully use some apps (app's menu is at the bottom of the screen, visible under the navigation bar, but untouchable). 

Can I change that back (no, I don't want swipe gestures. I want buttons on a bar that will disappear until needed again) or is this yet ANOTHER way Samsung us over with a garbage update?

Gas lighting would be a better term. This is a problem with the update and you're being a jerk when the customer got frustrated. Samsung needs to do better

Gaslighting is one word, not two. This is a peer-to-peer user help forum and no one here can fix this issue. It is not a generalized problem with the update, but rather an issue a relative few users are having. The OP, and others, were offered a solution that they have a choice to use or not until a fix is issued by Samsung. Sometimes, as worh everything in life, one has to find workarounds or live with the broken things. Once again, the post is several months old snd the OP has not returned to report on whether or not the issue was resolved for them, so why are you digging in the graveyard?

Happening with my S21 ultra. Only on certain apps. One of them is a work app making things very difficult. I've updated, cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still does it.

you are so entitled. we are members helping members, yet you act as if we owe you something. get a life. better yet go back to pen and paper and dump any traces of mobile phones in your life. 🙂

What does that say about the quality of that update? Perhaps Samsung should have put some actual effort into it

Have you found a solution for this? I was hoping it would have been fixed by now. I have the same issue and it's really pissing me off.
