How to revert navigation changes

I'm finding the new navigation changes that were mad in the most recent update super unwieldy. Samsung has had the same navigation forever and I loved it. Now it's garder to get to the apps I want, use the back button, or even just go home. If I can't revert it, is there a way to customize more deeply than the basic options? I like the gesture input instead of the buttons. But the gestures are now more annoying.

You need to download Goodlock Navstar
Open Goodlock click Navstar
Toggle Navstar on
Enable show extra gestures
Exit Goodlock
Open Phone settings
Display
Navigation bar
Select Gestures
Click more options
And select 3 gestures
