Google message - update 8.20.25

My phone did an update lastnight and since then my Google messages app isn't working properly. It's not loading and only shows a blank white screen.

I've manually did a force stop, cleared the cache and date, restarted then it would temporarily work. But it keeps coming back to this.

I did uninstall it, but it only gave me an option to update or open it after that.

Clear your cache clear the data and you should be good but clear the cache before you clear the data
