Camera Broken

Woke up one morning to my camera simply not working. It started with the zoomed in ratios lagging out my camera app and eventually closing while the base camera zoom worked and one morning the entire app stopped working. 

I haven't dropped it (at least in between when it was working and when it stopped lol) and I noticed whenever I open the app and very quiet click happens at the lens and the left middle lens twitches slightly and fast. 

Should I file a claim for repair (I have the insurance) or just upgrade to a new one (always a hassle to transfer everything and have to turn in my old phone)?

It's an S23, so an upgrade may be warranted, but you've been paying for insurance and the deductible is likely less than the cost of replacement, since you can't trade in a broken phone. On the other hand a newer device gives you more years of upgrades.

Which device do you have? I suppose it depends on whether you want to upgrade right away or wait to see what next year's models bring. If your insurance will cover the repair, you may want to wait.

It would need to be checked out at repair center could be a software issue or something else
