Battery permanently at 0% after UI 7 update

Immediately I updated ny phone to UI 7, the battery display is at 0%. My charger is plugged in right now, and it's not indicating that it's charging. Just 0%.

In the settings, I have run a diagnostic test twice, I passed the charging test, but my phone is not charging!.

 

This is really frustrating as I have to keep my phone connected to the charger, because I don't know how many percent  my phone is at presently. 

 Someone please help

Dang. That's a lot of info. 😂 I suggest trying to clear cache if you haven't done so. See if that helps.

I actually did clear cache. It didn't work.

I eventually switched it off and left it for 2 hours. Charged it whilst it was off, it eventually brought back the charging notification, then I switched it back on.

Battery at 0%, yet 12 hrs left. Try a soft reset , factory reset , and then take to Samsung service center. Might try safe mode too and try charge there to see if third party app is the issue.

I switched off the phone, abandoned it for a while, then charged it whilst off till the charging notification came on.

Then I switched it on and it worked.

Same here, hadn't noticed within the stupid "pill shape" but 0% was displayed. Did what you said above, and had to go into settings and enable show battery percentage again, and it happened. This UI 7 is a nightmare. So many forced changes.

Mine says it's charging on fast. But is barely charging at all. I have to go out!!  After an hour  it's charged 15%!! Tells me another 30 mins for 21%

The way it's draining. Is ridiculously fast too
