Android 16 / UI 8 update broke DeX

I use DeX often for testing projectors. Plug it into my phone, open my calibration .ppt, and I'm good. 

The new update has absolutely tanked Powerpoint, moved all my icons, and changed how DeX is laid out. My file wouldn't open in anything but CoPilot, even after re-installing ppt (where did it go?!). I can't swipe through my slides with the track pad, and a number of "mouse" functions seem to be broken now.

Yeah broke DEX for me to.. now my second screen connected with cable is useless

I think they tried to make it more mouse-friendly by moving navigation back to the bar, but it no longer allows swipe features for forward/back when using my phone as a touchpad

After updating my galaxy S22 ultra to Android 16 one ui 8 my phones fingerprint scanner stop working and also my sim one slot connection down grade from 5G to 4G LTE i am repeatedly try to connect with 5G but same thing happened. Samsung should release another update to fix this problem.

Same, the One UI Home keeps crashing in a loop, no matter what I do. I tried wiping cache partition already

Same here. The phone screen is cloned to the screen via the HDMI cable, but dex doesn't enable, and the setting is no longer a toggle that enables and disables it. It seems disabled by default for wired screens and not possible to enable.

After the update, it's been months me trying to figure out how, why this Dex is not working on my phone, tried everything online I could read and vids I followed. In the end, at least for me on my phone my was all related to the launcher I was using. Microsoft Launcher is what I run rather than One UI Home.

Settings → Apps → Choose default apps → Home app → One UI Home

I was so mad I was reviewing an iPhone 17 Pro Max and seriously considering it. I've owned only Samsung since their initial launch, their very first phone.

Dex is an extremely important reason, along with the S-Pen to why I use this phone. Hope this may solve someone's problem out there. And on another note, Merry Christmas everyone!

Any new info? DeX remains useless after the update. If it stays like this it may be time to switch to google pixel, as android 16 desktop mode works on it. DeX was my main reason for using Samsung
