Visual voice mail is not working. I used it in the past but, few months after purchasing s22 ultra it stopped working. I can't find solution I installed, uninstalled cleared cache, etc. I talked to Att, nothing works

Galaxy S22I think the issue might be password related, or just needs a password change to reconnect. Seems like Samsung now needs a 7-15 digit password for some reason, but my voicemail password was only 4, and had been for 15 years. It wouldn't work when I tried to change it through the visual voicemail, but when I went to standard voicemail and changed it to 7 digits, and then changed it in visual voicemail, it started working again after not working for a couple months.

Galaxy S22- Cosmariner: "...but when I went to standard voicemail and changed it to 7 digits, and then changed it in visual voicemail, it started working again."
Cosmariner, Constellation: I have Visual VM Android App version 18.2.00.20, Galaxy S23 Ultra. Is that the latest version? I've had no joy in finding an update. Mine sort of works, but it abruptly ends playback, sometimes doesn't start playback, takes a long pause before starting playback or deciding not to, only holds about 40 messages... annoying as heck. I.e., even when it "works," it doesn't.
2 questions: How did you go back "to standard voicemail?"
Anyone: Are there ANY reliable, functional other visual voicemail app options out there?

Galaxy S22Call the carrier. Here's what happened to me and how I fixed it:
I have an S22 Ultra, and until about 11 days ago (1/20/25), Visual Voicemail worked fine. Then after that date, any voicemail would show up as a different notification, and I would have to dial *86 and enter my pass code (which is so 2003). It would NOT show up in my Visual Voicemail, which is a million times better. I have Verizon, I went to Verizon's site, logged in, chatted with customer service, it was showing shut off on their end. They service rep asked if I had it before, I said yes, and he turned it back on from his end, I simply had to restart phone and "boom" it's back on. It's been working well ever since. Weird how they just turned it off on me, but that fixes it.
