Does the Samsung's have the ability to reject unknown calls. After switching phone numbers, I have been receiving a lot of Spam calls. If you block one number, they start using another number. If there is an option or App, I can download, like on the IPhones to reject any number immediately that's not in my contact send it straight to voicemail and if it's someone I needed to talk to and they called me from an unknown number, I will call them back after saving the new number to my contacts.

Theres a unknown number option in the phone dial settings which blocks calls with no caller id i.e show as private or no number as for others your carrier have a call filter app some are better than others but worth trying

The Google dialer ("Phone by Google" in the Play Store) has superior spam filtering compared to the stock Samsung dialer. You can also block calls from unknown numbers. Give it a try.

Yes 👍 — Samsung phones running One UI do have built-in features to help block unknown or spam calls, and there are also apps you can add for stricter control. Since you specifically want something like iPhone’s Silence Unknown Callers (send non-contacts straight to voicemail), here’s what you can do:

📱 Built-In Samsung Options

Block Unknown/Private Numbers

Open the Phone app → tap the 3 dots (More) → Settings.

Look for Block numbers.

Turn on Block unknown/private numbers.

This stops calls with no caller ID or hidden numbers.

Caller ID and Spam Protection

In the same Phone app → Settings, enable Caller ID and Spam protection.

This uses Samsung’s database to warn you or block suspected spam.

You can set it to Block all spam and scam calls if you want it aggressive.

⚠️ Limitation: These built-in settings don’t automatically block all numbers not in your contacts (they only handle hidden numbers and flagged spam).

🔧 Workarounds to Block Everyone Except Contacts

Google Phone app (from the Play Store) → It has a "Filter spam calls" option, but still not as strict as "contacts only."

Third-party apps (these let you whitelist contacts only):

Should I Answer?

Calls Blacklist

Truecaller (good for spam detection, not perfect for contact-only mode).

Some allow “accept calls from contacts only” mode, which is exactly what you want.

Best Method (Closest to iPhone)

Use a call-blocking app that supports allowlist/contacts-only mode.

Configure it so only numbers in your Contacts ring; everyone else goes to voicemail or gets blocked.

Then, if someone important calls from a new number, you can save it afterward.

👉 Do you want me to dig up the exact step-by-step setup for a Samsung-only solution (if possible on your model), or would you prefer I show you the apps that give the strict “contacts-only” mode right away?

For a simpler solution, use the native Do Not Disturb to send all calls to VM, then set an exception for calls from your contacts list. You can also use this approach to silence notifications from incoming text messages, and choose whether you want an exception for all contacts or your designated Favorite contacts. (I use DND scheduled at night to block unknown callers and non-favorite text message notifications, e.g.)

I do the same, allowing favored family members to still reach me should they need to, but ensuring an uninterrupted sleep otherwise. I have this setting automated using Modes and Routines in two modes. The first mode is scheduled to enable DND an hour before bedtime so that I can wind down and relax, and the other is during the sleep mode. It has really helped me get to bed on a regular schedule and get the rest that is needed.

I know that this is a bit off topic, but I thought I would share.
