Galaxy S22Every time I place the phone on the wireless charging stand, the phone beeps once. The system 'charging sound 'option in Sound and Vibration is set to OFF. This drives me crazy by making me think there's a new message.

Galaxy S22The system charging sound is different than the default notification sound. The default notification sound is to beep once for any notification, including placing the phone on a charger. You have the option to turn the volume of the notification sound off, but you will not receive any notification sounds at all. If you feel you don't need them, then by all means, turn them off. Or just lower it to a volume that will not annoy you.
If you want to distinguish your message notifications from that particular notification so that you don't get confused, change the sound for your incoming messages. In order to change the sound for your messaging app, you will have to turn on notification categories (settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app) then return to the app notification settings, open the categories and choose a sound for "new messages" or "incoming messages" (depending on the phrasing of whichever messaging app you are using).
Also, now that you know that placing your phone on the charger will send you a notification (look in your notification shade), hearing the beep should not surprise you into thinking you have a new message.

Galaxy S22Why wouldn't you want to know that your connection was successful for charging? Since you cannot change the battery notification sound, you can turn off sound and vibration for the system UI. The System UI is a system app and where the battery notifications originate. Go to settings/apps -turn on "show system apps", search for "system UI", go to the notifications section and, while you cannot turn off notifications you, can turn off the sound and vibration. I believe you have to have notification categories turned on for this. (settings/notifications/advanced settings/manage notification categories for each app.). After you turn on notification categories, you can also then return to the notification settings for your messaging app and select a different sound for your incoming/new messages. Even if you don't turn the sound off for the system UI, you will still be able to make your message notification for a different sound.
The fact of the matter, is there are certain things you cannot turn off (this is true for any phone, device or operating system) because the programmers believe a user wants these alerts. I don't even know how you have the same sound for the battery charging notification and your messaging, as one is a notification sound, and one is a system sound. So you can turn the volume down on system sounds, and keep the volume higher on notification sounds.
