I thought they're not supposed to change your settings when they do updates everything's changed Everything all the way down to my font to not being able to pull down and get to the settings quicker this is absolutely ridiculous I'm getting reminders on notifications which I stopped because it was out of control what was really ticking me off was that I can't have a separate sound for my actual text messages and then a sound for my notification for my social media how are they going to do something like that That's so stupid Even my keyboard stuff has changed what the heck how are you going to do an update and change everything I've got on my phone
What are you talking about? The update was not a secret, and you get a notification on your phone that an update is available. When you get that niticication, you have the option to immediayely download and install it, schedule it, or do nothing and let it install at the daye and time it says it will automatically install - usually 3 days from the notification. So, there is plenty of warning it's going to happen.

Typically when users are forced into software updates they are given more time than just a few days to perform the update. Most updates to software products in general are optional, not mandatory. And it's very much a best practice for software products to describe the features of the update beforehand.
No need to be rude just because you spend too much time on a community forum and have a weird expectation that all users of a software should be actively involved in its development.
