Hello, I am trying to swap my wife over to my old S22 Ultra, and when i went to set it up for her after the factory reset, the phone now is set up with SAMSUNG ADMIN and is saying it's owned by a organization. but it was never a company phone. i bought it right from either Samsung or Amazon unlocked and never had this admin mode for it. How can i remove it so that i can set it up for my wife?

Thank you.

Your phone is still in the Samsung account and Goggle account in their websites.

from what i can see, there are no accounts linked to the phone.

You deleted your phone from Samsung and Google accounts and then reset your phone ?

When one sells a Samsung phone ones deletes the google and Samsung account so that the phone is just like getting it brand new, that way the owner puts in his google and Samsung credentials. This works the same way when one transfers a Samsung Electronics product that has the users Samsung credentials in it, that way the new owner puts there credentials in it like getting it brand new.

again, this was never a work phone. i bought it right from Amazon brand new. so it was never tided to any accounts, or any companies. it was my old phone, so it had my samsung and google accounts, but i moved them to my new phone, so there are no accounts tided to this s22. right after doing a full factory reset, it automatically wants to do the set up screens as a work phone.

Take it to Samsung service center. I have read about this and the diy solution I don't recommend it. Your Knox has to be reprogrammed.

Did you ever get a resolution? I just encountered the same issue.

I purchased my S22 Ultra unlocked off of Amazon (new!) last yr. My company pays for my AT&T acct (caller id show my company name).

It wasn't until last month (may have been after the UI7/Android15 update) that I noticed the lock screen message "This phone belongs to an organization". I thought Android could tell that by the SIM "owner" ??. My phone also started freezing intermittently (3-5 sec) so I did a factory reset. I don't recall exactly when the reset was done (think it was before the UI7 update) but it would still randomly freeze. My gut tells me it's a bad spot in RAM (too bad can't run SpinRite on it). After the UI7 update and yet another factory reset, it now shows the Numero will manage this phone message (during the setup wizard). Now when I press Continue, a (final) screen shows "Return this device to your IT admin. Reset this device before returning it." The button shows "Reset and return device".

Then I opened a live chat with Samsung. They were zero help. They said to return it to my IT organization or Amazon.

As of now, "my organization" has essentially bricked my phone.

Hey buddy! Did you found a solution, please lemme know I am in same situation.

I purchased this S22 Ultra brand new from best buy 2 years back. It was working well all along this time. Here is the chronological order of what happened :

1. I backed up my data from Smart switch.

2. Did factory reset by going in settings, input my Google password and press reset

3. Phone got reset and booted up.

4. A pop-up appears on first boot, that this is owned by Numero LLC and need to factory reset to install profile

5. I was really confused as to how this happened ! I turned off my phone and did a hard reset by pressing volume up, and power buttons and then reset from those options.

6. Same issue cropped up again after hard reset and I gave up, searched online like crazy and nothing worked.

7. I went forward with the profile setup, and now my phone shows "controlled by your organization"

so i took it in last month to a ubreakifix place that is a authorized Samsung repair place and they told me that with out the proper papers showing proof i bought the phone, i think showing matching serial numbers, there wasnt anything they could do. they told me to reach out to Samsung and see if i can send it in to them to have them do a complete flash wipe to fix it. but the ubreakifix was going to charge me like $100 to do the repairs, and i figured Samsung would charge more, and would probably take days or weeks for them to do it. so i just gave up on it and bought my wife a google pixel.

Hey chief, did you find a solution. I have the same exact issue where I did a factory reset with my phone, and on first boot, the Knox message popped up and Numero LLC controls my phone with Samsung Admin as device admin. I am able to see this in settings- device administrator and deactivate option is greyed out. This is highly shady
