Galaxy S22My phone is useless after this upgrade,.everything lags, camera slow. Getting blank pages, have to constantly restart. Can I go back to 6.1? I never accepted the update, just push it out overnight huh. Now I have a useless phone. Thanks Samsung. I've cleared partition and cache, deleted useless apps. I've already spent hours trying to get this to work after this stupid update. I am not going to upgrade to a new phone since your update ruined this phone. What buy a new phone so you can push out another update and ruin it too. I'll buy an iPhone first even though I hate them. This update makes it look like an iPhone. Not happy. Will there be an update to fix this. I'm not the only one having issues, people all over reddit talking about it. I use my phone for work and it takes me twice as long because of the lagging. Guess I'll throw it away. Samsung you need to fix this, I'm not taking it in for repair, it worked perfect before you updated it without my permission. Now I have to go buy another phone.

Galaxy S22Oooh, you said the word "workaround". You know many people don't consider "workarounds" a solution - they just want Samsung to fix it, because the phone should work the way it should. Me, OTH, considers anything that works (even a workaround) to be a solution.

Galaxy S22Really? You are going to throw away a phone that probably only needs a few tweaks and settings changes to get back to some semblance of what you are used to? Here is a link of things that can be changed back: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Things-you-can-change-back/td-p/322806...
And here are some more tips:
There is quite a lot not to like about the update, especially when you are used to certain features behaving a certain way or just used to doing things a certain way. I just don't see a reason for the absolute meltdowns people are having over it.
You don't like the icons? Change them with an icon pack. It seems the people most affected by the icon/screen changes were those without a theme or icon pack already applied. If their wallpaper was gone, it was likely a wallpaper no longer available - choose another one.
Don't like the separation of the notification and quick panels? Put them back together.
Don't like that some of the indicator icons no longer show? Unfortunately, at the moment there is no fix for that. They are available and in full view on the secondary status bar by pulling down the top of the screen. Perhaps Good Lock will update Quick Star. Don't like the new battery indicator? Turn it off and find a widget that will give you the battery status at a glance.
Really hate that the notification indicators are limited to three icons? There are many ways to work around that and have your really important notifications be available at a glance.
Don't like that your location is being accessed all the time? Guess what? It always was, now you are just being informed of it. If you don't like the location indicator always showing on the status bar, turn it off. You will still see the green location indicator when you pull down the quick panel notifying you that the location services are in use, much the same way you get the green indicator when the camera or mic is in use. The location services uses very minimal battery, since it only pings momentarily when in use. I challenge you to find location services in your battery use statistics. Not all the apps that use notification services ping at the same time, and apps that haver permission to use location all the time, do not continuously ping.
Battery drain? Check your battery usage statistics and see which apps are the culprits and then either put them to sleep or change the battery optimization settings for those apps. Check to make sure that some apps haven't "woken up" after the update that you had previously put to sleep.
Don't like anything about the update? Change brands. See how you like another manufacturer. Do not forget that this is, before anything, an Android update, so all Android phones running the new version will look much the same way, without the customization options that Samsung's UI offers.
For anything not covered above, post your issue in an understandable manner, and others will be happy to guide you into workability.
Updates are mandatory, so I guess if it makes you feel better, you can call them forced, but you agreed to the TOS and EULA when you put your phone into service; as you will do with whatever phone you buy next (thus, it was not installed without permission). The TOS explicitly states that Samsung and Google (let's not forget that this was an Android update) have the right to alter their software in any manner they see fit, and you agree to accept those changes.
I believe that once you get your issues cleared up and get used to the new look, you will like the update well enough.
