My phone must have received an update last night. It keeps freezing and shutting down and now it won't restart without erasing ALL APP DATA. I'm extremely frustrated. I'm flying out of town tomorrow and this is NOT the time. What is this one UI thing? I noticed something on my phone about it today and all of a sudden, I have NO PHONE.
I'm hoping you won't lose everything. What that option means is that it will clear data for the apps on the phone, meaning that they'll be reset as if you just installed them from the Play Store. Your user data should still be intact. 🤞
If it works and your phone is able to boot sort of properly, you should connect it to a computer and copy your user data to a hard drive or flash drive.
At some point, you'll have to perform a factory reset on your phone. It will probably be a pain, but it's the only way to fix whatever's currently broken.
**bleep**, sounds like the phone isn't going to boot. There's not much you can do right now. Somebody has to look at it. I'd advise taking it to your carrier if you weren't traveling. Are you able to get a prepaid phone from Walmart or somewhere so that you can at least communicate with people?
