I don't recall ever seeing the green icon pictured below on my notification bar prior to updating to OneUI 7. It looks like a notification symbol, but it is there whether I turn location on or off and whether I hide it show location notifications in QuickStar. This only appears when I pull down either the notifications list or the quick menu. Can anyone identify this?

I take it back. It does disappear when I turn location off, but it takes several seconds for it to disappear. Mystery solved.

That's new behavior with the new OS. The icon is there so you can tap on it to see what app/service is accessing location. It should only appear when location is being accessed. Unless you have an S25. Apparently, it's constantly on with those devices.

Thanks for confirming this is new -- I thought I had somehow missed this large green blob. I see now that it behaves as you suggested on my S22.

This is already solved—but I would like to clarify that it was always there, in fact, this appears for Camera, Microphone, and Location being used. It's pretty neat sometimes, but it can be annoying.
